How to make a clay poultice?

comment faire un cataplasme d'argile

Well known and appreciated throughout the world, clay is probably one of the most popular rocks in natural cosmetics. If green clay is by far the most used, clay offers an amazing color palette such as white, red, pink, yellow clay or ghassoul. The most surprising: each of them has its own properties. Beyond the benefits of this mineral earth for skin and hair, clay has been used for centuries for its benefits on the body, muscles and joints, through a poultice application. What is the clay poultice? How and why to apply it? We give you all the keys to enjoy this ancestral treatment!

[title text=”What is the clay poultice?” tag_name=”h2″]

The clay poultice is a very popular technique – a real grandmother’s remedy! – which is transmitted from generation to generation to take care of the body as a whole. It aims to apply a thick layer of clay to an uncomfortable or painful area of the body in order to relieve, reduce inflammation and stimulate healing.
Also called “plasters”, clay poultices can be used on different parts of the body, and more commonly on the feet, legs, arms, shoulders, back and abdominal area.
The poultice is a 100% natural and no-frills treatment. It can therefore be applied regardless of age.

[title text=”Which clay to use for a poultice?” tag_name=”h2″]

To prepare a clay poultice, green clay is by far the most used and recommended clay for this type of application. Rich in minerals and trace elements such as silica, iron, potassium, sodium, calcium and magnesium, it is also known for its many absorbent, soothing, restorative, anti-inflammatory properties… As you will have understood, green clay is a mineral rock with many facets.

For an effective care, it is advisable to choose a green clay of quality, pure and French. Our illite green clay is selected for its incomparable quality. In addition to being 100% French, it is delicately dried in the sun, a drying method that we have always applied and of which we are proud! What for? Because this method of drying is the only one to preserve all the virtues of clay without distorting it. This is part of what makes it UNIQUE and INCOMPARABLE!

[title text=”How to prepare and apply the clay poultice?” tag_name=”h2″] [title text=”Preparation”]

To prepare the clay poultice, you can use ready-made clay paste or opt for powdered or grained clay.

Did you know that? Our green clay is available in different grain sizes. This ranges from very fine grain that melts instantly to raw grain of 2cm that requires several hours in contact with water before forming a creamy paste. Each need has its own particle size! To help you choose the one you need, do not hesitate to consult our page on the different particle sizes of our green clay illite .

If you choose a tube or pot of clay paste, no preparation will be necessary : the paste offers an ideal consistency for easy and quick application. If you opt for powdered clay, an upstream preparation will be necessary. You can prepare the exact amount of clay you need depending on the size of the area on which the poultice will be applied.

To prepare your clay paste, nothing could be simpler ! Above all, it is necessary to bring a bowl and a spoon made of glass, earth or ceramic and not metal because the latter denatures the clay.

Pour the clay powder into a container, before adding water (preferably mineral) little by little, letting the clay soak as you go. Mix with a wooden spoon to obtain a smooth, homogeneous paste that is neither too liquid nor too thick. The paste must be firm and consistent so that it can be easily applied while holding correctly on the desired area. You can also add essential oils like wintergreen recumbent, vegetable oils, and even floral waters to increase the benefits.

[title text=”Mode of application”]

Once the mixture is ready, the application of the poultice is very simple. Simply spread with your fingers or a spatula, a thick layer of clay (about 2cm) on the desired area. Next, cover the dough with a thin, damp cloth, such as a cloth or gauze, to prevent the clay from drying too quickly. You can finally wrap it with a strip if the area allows it, in order to hold the poultice in place.

Did you  know? Contrary to popular belief, clay should never dry once it is applied. It is a living mineral matter, which acts in contact with water and transmits all its minerals when wet.

The exposure time must be at least 20 minutes and never more than 4 hours. Then gently remove the poultice, making sure to remove as much clay as possible before rinsing the area with warm water.

You can renew the application of a poultice 3x a day until the desired result is obtained. It should be noted, however, that the clay paste, once it has been applied, cannot be reused a second time. It should be discarded and a new clay paste should be prepared.

[title text=”Rhassoul clay: a 2-in-1 clay for ALL hair” tag_name=”h2″] [title text=”What is ghassoul clay?”]

Also called “Rhassoul” which means “Earth that washes”, ghassoul clay is a natural, mineral and volcanic clay that comes from the Middle Atlas region of Morocco. It is rich in minerals and trace elements essential for healthy hair. This clay has many properties and can be used in a thousand and one ways: as a mask, as a dry shampoo, in no-poo… It is also its versatility and its soft side that make it an essential clay in the care rituals of the hammam.

[title text=”What are its properties?”]

Rhassoul is a gentle cleanser that does not irritate the scalp or strip hair. It effectively removes impurities, dirt and excess sebum while respecting the natural balance of the scalp. It also has sebum-regulating properties, which means it can help reduce sebum production on the scalp. This is especially useful for people with oily or fast-regreasing hair. But that’s not all!

Rhassoul is very popular with curly and textured hair because it helps to improve the texture of the hair by giving it more body and volume but also by giving it a better definition. It can also help reduce frizz and make hair silkier and shinier.

[title text=”How to use ghassoul on oily hair?”]

Rhassoul clay can be used in several ways to provide oily hair with the most suitable care.

First of all, as a hair mask to reduce the production of sebum and to deeply purify the hair. To prepare a hair mask based on rhassoul clay, mix a sufficient amount of powdered clay with water until you get a smooth paste. Then apply the mask to your hair by gently massaging your scalp. Leave on for about 10 to 15 minutes before rinsing thoroughly with warm water.

This natural clay can also be used as a washing base, instead of “traditional” shampoo. This is called “no-poo”.

Here’s how:

  • Use ready-to-use ghassoul clay or prepare the rhassoul paste yourself: in a plastic or glass container, mix the ghassoul powder with warm water until you get a smooth and homogeneous paste.
  • Apply the rhassoul paste on dry or wet hair starting at the roots and gradually working your way up to the ends. Avoid rubbing the hair vigorously, as this can damage it.
  • Let the clay sit on the hair for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Rinse the hair thoroughly with warm water until all the rhassoul paste is removed. You can also use conditioner if necessary to detangle the hair and make it softer.
  • Air dry your hair or with a hair dryer at low temperature.

It is important to note that rhassoul does not produce foam like traditional shampoos, so it is normal for hair not to foam when applying no-poo. Rhassoul can be used once a week to gently clean hair and regulate sebum production.

Finally, rhassoul can be used as a dry shampoo to absorb excess sebum and refresh hair between washes. To do this, simply apply a small amount of rhassoul powder to the hair roots and massage gently to penetrate the powder. Then just brush the hair to remove excess powder and get clean and fresh hair.

As you can see, green clay and ghassoul are 100% natural allies to take care of oily hair. Their use is practical, without superfluous and allows to find a more flexible and light hair in a jiffy.

5 Things You Need to Know About Clay Masks

5 Things You Need to Know About Clay Masks

Clay masks are back in force in the natural beauty sphere. Effective, healthy and simple to make, they take care of the skin, body and hair with ease. Even if clay is a noble and natural material, it is essential to adopt the right gestures to enjoy all its benefits. Here are 5 important things to know about clay masks.

[title text=”The color of clay has great importance” tag_name=”h2″]

Clay is a sedimentary rock, extremely rich in minerals and trace elements. If green clay is by far the best known of all clays, there are nevertheless other clay colors with amazing benefits. Did you know that each clay color has its own   properties? Red, pink, yellow, white, ghassoul… Each is aimed at a particular skin type. We offer you a quick overview of the different clays.

Green clay is recommended for normal to oily skin. Thanks to its absorbent power, it eliminates excess sebum, purifies the epidermis and visibly reduces dilated pores.

White clay, also called kaolin, is the softest of the clays. It is particularly recommended for dull and mature skin that it will gently clean and sublimate.

Red clay is famous for its ” complexion illuminator “, and if it is also called ” clay looks good “, it’s not for nothing ! Thanks to its richness in ferric oxides that gives it its fiery color, it will take care of dry skin, soften it and reveal its radiance.

Pink clay, a subtle mixture of red clay and white clay, is appreciated by sensitive and reactive skin because it is soft and respects the pH of the epidermis. It has soothing and rebalancing properties, ideal for skin prone to redness and irritation of all kinds.

Yellow clay, less known, is a clay particularly suitable for combination skin thanks to its exfoliating action. It revitalizes, matifies and refines the skin texture, for a silky touch and a visibly smoother skin, with fewer imperfections.

Finally, ghassoul clay is a treasure from the Atlas Mountains. It has many properties that make it perfect for absolutely all skin types. It is renowned for its absorbent and cleansing action but also exfoliating and adsorbent. We quickly understand why it is an integral part of the hammam   ritual!

Are you hesitating about the choice of clay to   use? Do not hesitate to carry out our little test! With just a few clicks, you’ll know which clay best fits your skin type.

[title text=”Do not let your clay mask dry” tag_name=”h2″]

One of the mistakes to avoid and yet is practiced by many lovers of clay masks, is to let your mask dry. It is sometimes thought that you have to wait until the mask is completely dry to remove it and rinse the skin. It’s a mistake. Indeed, by drying, the mask captures water in the skin tissues and dehydrates them. One can have a very clean skin sensation after rinsing because the epidermis shines and is perfectly smooth. However, this interpretation is not   good: it is a sign that the skin is simply dried out, dehydrated. This is ultimately the opposite of what a clay mask should bring to the   skin! Even worse, by drawing water from the epidermis, the dry clay may send a negative signal to the sebaceous glands and cause them to produce even more sebum.

To avoid this, it is necessary to apply the mask in a thick layer on the entire face, avoiding the eye area. The mask should act for 10 minutes and not dry. For this, we recommend that you remoisten it as many times as necessary using a mist, water spray or floral water.

[title text=”It is necessary to moisturize your skin well after rinsing” tag_name=”h2″]

After a clay mask, it is important to moisturize your skin. Due to its absorbent properties, the hydrolipidic film of the epidermis can be slightly altered and it must be helped to reconstitute itself by applying a nourishing care. Rinsing alone is not enough, especially if it is done with tap water that is sometimes too calcareous and aggressive for the skin.

Depending on the nature of your skin, you can choose a product with a more or less rich texture. Our day cream and our night cream are perfect for nourishing and moisturizing the skin in depth. Poorly hydrated skin becomes sensitive and reactive and the mask loses all its interest.

Clay is a recognized and highly appreciated material for facial treatments. If at first glance its use does not require any precautions, it must be taken into account that it is an active and living ingredient.

It is important that it is in contact only with natural and noble materials. For example, opt for a jar or bowl either ceramic or glass, to make the preparation and take your hands or a wooden spoon to mix the ingredients. Plastic and metal, on the other hand, should never be used, as they denature green clay and can alter its properties.

How to combine clay with essential oils

Ancestral care, clay is a noble material and rich in trace elements.
Revitalizing for skin and hair and used for millennia, its benefits are well established and make it indispensable in all green and natural beauty routines. The assets of this thousand-year-old land do not stop there…! In addition to its many virtues, did you know that clay can be combined with all kinds of ingredients for complete and targeted care? Essential oils are one of them and we bet you’ll quickly succumb to this winning combo!

[title text=”The benefits of clay” tag_name=”h2″]

The benefits of clay are numerous and precious, for the skin as well as for the hair. Absorbent, purifying, softening, soothing, remineralizing… clay meets many problems and adapts to all your needs.

Applied as a mask on the face, clay tones the skin and purifies it in depth thanks to its strong absorption   power: it eliminates impurities accumulated throughout the day such as dust, sweat, pollution …

In hair care, clay also works   wonders: it cleanses the scalp, eliminating excess sebum, and restores shine and suppleness to the hair.

If green clay is by far the best known in the world, did you know that it is available in different   colors? Red, white, pink, yellow or ghassoul, each of them has their own virtues. In order to take full advantage of it, it is therefore important to choose the color of the clay according to your skin type (oily, dry, dull, mixed (mature). To help you in this mission, we invite you to carry out our small test:   simple and   effective!

[title text=”Essential oils, for a more complete treatment” tag_name=”h2″]

The clay itself is a true wonder of Nature. It is full of many minerals and trace elements perfect for intensely nourishing and redensifying the epidermis and hair. If you are looking for an even more targeted treatment, it is however possible to add other ingredients, preferably   natural!

Good   news: essential oils are among the ingredients that blend perfectly with clay. We bet that their synergy will quickly conquer your heart.

[title text=”Numerous synergies for comprehensive care”]

Essential oils have a recognized effectiveness and honor the use of plants for our well-being. This is called aromatherapy.

The mixture of clay and essential oil makes it possible to add properties and therefore to increase the field of action of your treatment, whether in mask or poultice. To cleanse and purify the skin, while limiting the appearance of blemishes, you can add a few drops of lavender essential oil or tea tree essential oil.

To prepare your homemade treatment, simply add 3 tablespoons of clay and a little water (or floral water) in a glass or earthen container. Mix until you get a smooth, creamy paste. All you have to do is add a few drops (2/3 drops) of essential oil of your choice   and apply the paste on your face or scalp.

TIP:   Be careful not to let your mask   dry: it is in contact with water that clay transmits all its nutrients. By drying, it may draw on the hydration of your skin and hair.

[title text=”Clay as a diffusion medium”]

In addition to its benefits for the skin and hair, clay has other   advantages: it can be used as an odor absorber but also as an essential oil   diffuser!

Arrange a little crushed, fine ground or granulated powdered clay, it’s even   better!) in a glass cup and add a few drops of essential oil to perfume your home and eliminate bad odors.

The essential oil of sweet orange or lemon zest will leave a tart note that will awaken your senses while making you enjoy their   calming and soothing virtues.

If essential oils are part of the natural ingredients with the wind in their sails, their potency requires to respect some precautions of use. Their use must be practiced with certain   precautions!

The dosages, the duration of use and certain specific indications for use should be observed. For example, some essential oils are photosensitizing, that is, they can cause burns or the appearance of spots on the epidermis following exposure to the sun. This is the case of sweet orange essential oil.

Other essential oils are contraindicated for pregnant or lactating women. Essential oils should not be left within the reach of children or animals. Before any use, we recommend that you consult the advice of a health professional who will be able to provide you with personalized recommendations. 5 tips you need to know about clay masks

5 tips you need to know about clay masks

To take care of your face, nothing beats the use of clay masks. Used for centuries, clay, land of benefits has many advantages to put at the service of natural cosmetics. Used as a mask, pure or combined with other natural ingredients, it gives spectacular results. If its use is simple enough, there are a few points of vigilance so that you can make the most of all its benefits and avoid side effects. To avoid nasty surprises, here are 5 important tips to know about clay masks.

[title text=”The colour and choice of the type of clay is of great importance” tag_name=”h2″]

Green is green: real green clay is illite clay.

Clay is a sedimentary rock, extremely rich in minerals and trace elements. Whilegreen clay is by far the best known and most effective, it comes in colour and softness. Green, white, red, pink, yellow, ghassoul… Each of these clays has amazing living properties, which have the distinction of adapting to your skin type smoothly.

Depending on the needs of your skin at the moment T, one clay will be preferred over another. To help you choose the clay that’s right for you, don’t hesitate to answer our quick and simple test. In just a few minutes, you’ll know which clay is best for your skin type and maximize the effects of this ultra-rich soil on your skin.

Whatever its colour, we have chosen to offer you a clay 100% natural and pure. Depending on your needs and desires, all you have to do is choose the right clay format: clay made of paste or powdered clay. At Argiletz, clay is respected throughout its production process to provide you with an optimal result.

[title text=”Green clay, to be used without moderation” tag_name=”h2″]

Thanks to its strong absorbent power and the precious minerals and trace elements it contains, green clay is appreciated around the world for its many benefits on the skin. Applied to normal, oily or blemished skin, the green clay mask corrects, cleanses, helps regulate sebum production by purifying the epidermis; all while respecting the epidermis.

At the same time rich and powerful, however, it is necessary to pay attention to its use. In order to benefit from all its properties, we focus your attention on the importance of keeping your clay always moist on your skin when using. This will protect the hydrolipidic film from your skin, and avoid the small tug-of-war that clay may cause when it dries.
Moisture is paramount,
it allows the clay to exchange with the skin the trace elements that the epidermis needs.

We recommend applying a clay mask once or twice a week and supplement with a moisturizer after each mask with green clay, white clay, red clay, pink clay, yellow clay or ghassoul clay.

[title text=”The clay mask should not dry” tag_name=”h2″]

It is sometimes thought that it is necessary to wait until the mask is completely dry to remove it and rinse the skin. It’s a mistake. In order to take advantage of the minerals and trace elements essential to the well-being and radiance of your skin, the clay must remain moist. Clay is a natural but living product, moisture is essential for its effectiveness.

To prevent the clay mask from drying out and drying your skin, apply the mask in a thick layer and moisten it well during installation. To do this, we advise you to keep a water spray or a mist handy, and to spray a little water as much as necessary!

Moisturize your skin after removing the clay mask

After a clay mask, it is important to moisturize your skin. To strengthen the hydrolipidic film and avoid excessive sebum production, especially for problem skins. Rinsing alone is not enough. Depending on the nature of your skin, you should choose a moisturizing and nourishing treatment with a more or less rich texture. This applies even to mixed or oily skin. A serum should then be used for very dry skin and for all skin types a moisturizer for the face day or night, depending on the time of day. Poorly hydrated skin can become sensitive and reactive.

[title text=”Prepare your clay mask for the face or hair” tag_name=”h2″]

Clay is highly prized for facials because of its natural origin and high efficiency. However, it is a living matter, active in contact with water and deserves special attention when handled.

It is important that it is in contact only with natural and noble materials. For example, you can opt for a ceramic, wooden or glass bowl to make your preparation. To mix clay and water (or any other natural ingredient!), we recommend using a wooden spoon to mix the ingredients.

Plastic and metal should never be used, however, as they distort clay and can cause it to lose some of its properties.

Nothing beats a clay mask to take care of her face and hair. The benefits of this totally natural sedimentary rock are no longer to be demonstrated.

White, pink, red, green, ghassoul or yellow, there are for each skin type. However, you need to know their properties well and know how to use them correctly in order to reap the full benefits.

How to use powdered clay?

how-use-clay-powder

Clay is a natural material appreciated for its many benefits since the dawn of time. Thanks to its rich composition minerals and trace elements, its uses are multiple, both for the face, the body, the hair, but also for the maintenance of the house and the care of the animals. If it is now possible to find it in different forms such as ready-to-use dough or as a component of patented cosmetics, powdered clay is by far the most widely used form in the world. However, in order to fully benefit from its virtues, it is essential to know how to use it and to know the mistakes to avoid.

[title text=”CHOOSE THE CLAY’S GRANULOMETRY BASED ON ITS USE” tag_name=”h2″]

Clay is a raw material, originating from the Earth, whose shape is very heterogeneous. Once extracted and worked, it is offered under different granulometry depending on its different uses. What is granulometry?   This is the size of the clay grains, which can vary in coarse grains or pieces of 2cm of very (very) small grains (powder) of 20 microns. Here’s a little recap of our different granulometry and their use.

  • Face and hair masks

To pamper your skin and regain a soft and silky hair, clay is a treatment of choice that will never cease to surprise you. Whether you’re a fan of zero waste care or just looking for a treatment that’s both natural and effective, we have good   news: making your clay mask has never been   easier!

To do this, we advise you to use our ultra-ventilated clays. In the form of grains of about 20 microns, the ultra-ventilated clay takes a form of velvety and light powder. Thanks to the fineness of its grain, this clay is ideal for the preparation of clay masks (face and hair) or for use in bath water because it melts instantly. With it, exit the lumps and hello to the smooth and homogeneous dough.

Surf clay also has an interesting granulometry. The fineness of its grains – 60 microns, allows it to melt very quickly on contact with water or any other thinner. All you have to do is stir the dough for a few seconds to get a smooth treatment.

  • Cataplasms and plasters

If there are different colors of clay, green clay powder is by far the most used (and most   effective!) when used in cataplasm or plaster. In this case, it is important to clearly define the area on which you want to apply a cataplasm and how often you want to apply it. Depending on these elements, and in order to make the care the most economical while remaining as practical as possible to prepare, you can turn to the granulometry   below:

  • Fine ground clay (between 0.05 and 0.5 mm):   The clay is in the form of rather coarse raw powder. It melts instantly and allows a smooth paste without difficulty.
  • Granulated clay (0.5   mm): in the form of grains of about 8 mm, the granulated clay melts in 30 minutes and therefore requires a preparation time.
  • Crushed clay (2   cm): the clay is raw, in the form of irregular pieces. It takes 2 hours for it to melt evenly. We recommend preparing the dough the day before, or in the morning for the evening, so that the dough is as homogeneous as possible. This is the most economical format but requires a longer preparation time.

[row col_style=”dashed”] [col span=”4″ span__sm=”12″] [ux_image id=”20576″] [/col] [col span=”4″ span__sm=”12″] [ux_image id=”20586″] [/col] [col span=”4″ span__sm=”12″] [ux_image id=”20578″] [/col] [col span=”4″ span__sm=”12″] [ux_image id=”20580″] [/col] [col span=”4″ span__sm=”12″] [ux_image id=”20582″] [/col] [col span=”4″ span__sm=”12″] [ux_image id=”20584″] [/col] [/row] [title text=”WHAT CAN POWDER CLAY BE ASSOCIATED WITH?” tag_name=”h2″]

One of the many advantages of powdered clay is that it can be combined with other ingredients (preferably natural and organic), for complete and targeted care. There are a thousand and one possibilities! These ingredients can include powders, fruits, vegetables, all kinds of food ingredients (honey, cornflour, yoghurt…) and even liquids such as vegetable oils, essential oils or hydrolats.

[title text=”DIY recipes with powdered clay”]

There are a multitude of homemade recipes allowing you to make a clay-based mask according to the needs of your skin or hair at a T moment.

Add vegetable oil such as sweet almond or rose rose oil and you’ll have a nourishing and moisturizing 100% natural combo. As a bonus, this trick will allow you to keep your mask wet longer.

Some even add essential oils to their clay powder, but beware, the clay has a cloaking power and can therefore keep the essential oil as   “under   bell” on the skin and this can cause burns. Be careful when you embark on a combination of clay and essential oil, and choose a non-dermocaustic essential oil (which do not contain phenols irritating molecules.). Another option to enjoy both your favorite essential oils and your fetish green clay is to proceed in two steps :

  • Make your green clay cataplasm (without essential oil in the   mixture); leave it in place for 1 to 2 hours then rinse and dry.
  • Apply in a second time the essential oil of your choice diluted in a vegetable oil (see dosage on the bottle) in modeling.

Always take the tether of a health professional before using essential oils.

I mean, good   news! Powdered clay is compatible with all kinds of ingredients that you can easily find in your kitchen (placards and   fridge!), such as   fruits and vegetables   (especially in the form of juice), yoghurt, honey, sugar, cornflour… for even more targeted and comprehensive actions. This   allows you to use products with (very) short expiry dates and thus limit   waste!

[title text=”The diluants”]

Powder clay can be used for various cosmetic and personal hygiene treatments. Instead of mineral water, you can associate it with a hydrolat (pink water for example)   for a synergy action.

[title text=”CHOOSE YOUR CLAY POWDER COLOUR” tag_name=”h2″]

There are different clay colors, each of which has its own properties. To appreciate all the benefits, it is therefore essential to choose the color of clay according to your   skin type.

  • Green clay is the best known of all, it is applied to all skin types and is appreciated oily skin on which it will have a strong absorption power and will regulate excess sebum.
  • Yellow clay, with exfoliating powers, is intended for mixed skins.
  • Red clay is ideal for dry skin, which will soften and illuminate.
  • White clay – also called kaolin, is the softest of clays. It is intended for dull skins that it will lighten and sublimate.
  • Pink clay is a subtle blend of red clay and white clay, perfect for sensitive and reactive skin that needs to be gently soothed and cleaned.
  • Less well known, there is also Ghassoul clay, which is used for all skin types and allows a deep cleansing of the skin.
[title text=”DO NOT USE METAL UTENSILS OR CONTAINERS” tag_name=”h2″]

One of the mistakes you shouldn’t make when you want to use powdered clay is a PRIMORDIALE   one: avoid any utensils or metal or plastic containers when handling this land of benefits.

I don’t know   why. Because clay is a land of life, it reacts when it comes into contact with metal or plastic. These two materials can alter the properties of clay and thus limit its action on your skin and/or hair.

If you want to enjoy the virtues of powdered clay and make your own clay paste, we recommend using a wooden spoon as well as a wooden, sandstone or glass bowl.

As you will have understood, powdered clay offers you a multitude of possibilities, it allows you an easy, efficient and economical care, which you can achieve on the go. Lack of   inspiration? Find all our recipes for clay   masks!

[title text=”DON’T LET THE CLAY DRY” tag_name=”h2″]

When pausing a mask, plaster or clay cataplasm, it is imperative to keep the clay moist for the duration. The active ions of clay wake up on contact with water and this is how they transmit all their benefits to you. When clay dries on your skin, it loses one of its   most important abilities: that of releasing its minerals and trace elements. However, it continues to absorb, and this can lead to a drying of the epidermis after a certain period of time. So to do well, think about regularly rehumidifying or removing the clay as soon as the tug-of-arms is   felt!

How do I take care of my feet naturally?

how to take care of my feet naturally[gap height=”90px”]

Whether in a pair of boots stuffed in winter or in sandals in summer, we lock our feet about 7 hours a day in a space sometimes enclosed or high perched and sometimes wet. Our feet carry us throughout the day and absorb up to twice our weight per day. They are also very sensitive, with nearly 7200 nerve endings linking to all our organs. So it’s high time to take care of it, Argiletz tells you everything “to pamper your feet as healthily and naturally as possible.

[title text=”DAY-TO-DAY CARE” tag_name=”h2″] [title text=”1- Clean up”]

Clean your feet thoroughly every day. On a daily basis, our feet accumulate a multitude of bacteria that a simple shower is not enough to remove.

To prevent the proliferation, maceration of bacteria and the appearance of fungi, it is advisable to carry out a careful cleaning of your feet with a gentle natural antibacterial soap.

Don’t hesitate to rub, pass between the toes and take care of your nails.
Once the maintenance stage is complete, it is important to dry your feet thoroughly.

Our tip to keep your feet dry: sprinkle ultra-ventilated green clay on your feet. The clay will act like talc by absorbing the remaining moisture. It’s also a great tip for regulating plantar sweating. The trick also works in shoes to absorb moisture and odors.

[title text=”2- Hydrate and massage”]

Hydrate your feet daily and especially relax! After each toilet, use an ultra-nourishing foot cream to complete this routine.

You can apply cream morning and evening if your feet are very dry.
We recommend a nourishing green clay foot cream enriched with ORGANIC aloe vera. Applied by gently massaging it promotes, thanks to the rhythmic pressures on the reflex areas, the drainage of the points that will be stimulated. Massage each foot for up to 10 minutes in circular motions until the nourishing cream penetrates completely.
Enjoy this magical moment every day for beautiful feet.

[title text=”THE PROFOND SOIN (1 to 2 times a week)” tag_name=”h2″] [title text=”1- Exfoliate”]

Exfoliate your feet once or twice a week during your shower, bath or foot bath. Apply a few touches of scrub on the top of your foot and on the arch and massage in circular motions. Rinse gently. Regularly scrubbing eliminates dead cells.

[title text=”2- A clay mask… on your feet!”]

We can’t say it enough, but clay works wonders on the whole   body! As on the face, let yourself be tempted by a clay mask for the feet. There are all colors.

 There are two   options:

  • The clay   bath: In a basin or container large enough, put 100 g of the clay of your choice, then slide your feet into the water /Argiletz mixture and relax for 20 minutes.
  • Cataplasm:   Apply the clay of your choice to the entire foot in a thick layer for 10 minutes. The clay should not dry during laying. We advise you to re-wet it if necessary.

Once the time has elapsed, rinse and dry your feet thoroughly, apply your nourishing cream. Your feet will appreciate these revitalizing treatments.
